Urgent Breaking Online Shopping News, This Involves Hannah Montana

There are some pretty hot online shopping deals I thought I should let everybody in on. So here they are.

For those of you with a Hannah Montana crazed girl I thought you might appreciate this one.
At Circuit City.com you can order a Hannah Montana DVD game that retails for $31.99. It is on sale right now for $15.00 with a $15.00 mail in rebate. For those of you feeling math challenged in this heat, that makes it free. (Can you say one Christmas present down 9,999 to go). The shipping on it comes out to about $4 but if you find something else on their site to bring your total about $24 you get free shipping. So it might be worth adding something else. There are several WII games for around $14 and if you check the toy section there are lots of things under $9. Hannah Montana DVD Game Link.

Ok now for all you mothers of boys who are feeling like Hannah Montana games just aren't going to help you consider for a moment Thrillville Off the Rail game for the WII. This is going for $9.99 with free shipping right now at Toysrus.com. We have this game at our house and it has been a winner with my 7 year old. I'm hoping that he feels a virtual theme park is as good as Lagoon since summer is rapidly drawing to a close and we haven't made it there yet.
Thrillvill Off the Rails Link.

For those of you with men needing new dress clothes this might be of interest JoSBank.com is having a 50% of clearance prices sale. I think the best deals are under the Suit Separates section. You can get $395.00 suit jackets for $14.50 and $150.00 suit pants for $14.50. Sizes are limited but if you should find anything that will work for your guy you could save a bundle. Since my husband borders on freakishly tall I didn't have much luck (good think I find freakishly tall sexy huh). The link below will take you straight to the suit separates but look around in dress pants and even suits as well for other good deals.

Kohls.com is also doing a 90% off clearance. Lots of good kids clothes deals. Here are a few codes you could use to save even more.

Alas Another Monday

Here we are another week (how did we get to the end of July). Ok here are the hot deals I see so far this week.

Rite Aid

Teen Spirit, Lady Speed Stick or Mennen Speed Stick, .99
Use: Speed Stick 24/7 or Lady Speed Stick 24/7 Antiperspirant/Deodorant, any excluding .5 oz. product $1/1 (8-16-08) SS-7/27

Speed Stick or Lady Speed Stick Teen Spirit Antiperspirant/Deodorants, any excluding .5 oz. product .75/2 (8-16-08) SS-7/27
Final Price: FREE 24/7 or .62 ea

Lets face it, in this heat can you really have too much deodorant?

Softsoap Pump, .99
Use: Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap, any 7.5 oz. or 12 oz. .35/1 (8-16-08) SS-7/27 Final Price: .64
Just in case you were wondering this is really the best price you'll find on Softsoap. At this price it is generally cheaper to buy the pump bottles even over the big refill bottles. Hey I like not refilling those little bottles and getting soap everywhere. Simple things bring me joy.

Dove Miniatures, 2.50
Use: Dove Chocolate, any variety 5.8 oz. – 9.5 oz. bags $1.50/1 DND (8-17-08) RP-5/11
Final Price: 1.00

I consider chocolate the number one most important item in my food storage and because I believe in variety I include any and all types of chocolate (milk, dark, chips, miniatures) you name it I don't discriminate. Keep in mind in Worl War Two you could barter for just about anything if you had cigarettes, nylons, or chocolate. (Note to self start stock piling cigarettes, no not really you don't find many coupons for them anyway).

Oral B CrossAction Power Toothbrush, 3 for $18
Use: Oral-B CrossAction Power or CrossAction Power Whitening toothbrush, any Buy 1 Get 1 FREE (7-31-08) SS-6/15 (WATCH EXP!)
Oral-B Pulsar, CrossAction, Advantage Toothbrush, any $1/1 or (2) Indicator (7-31-08) P&G-7/6 (WATCH EXP!)
Less $10 on 3 SCR (7/27-8/2 ONLY)
Final Price: buy 4 for FREE
On this deal you are buying 4 tootbrushes, using 2 buy one get one coupons and two $1 coupons. So you spend $12 with your bogos and then take off $2 in the other coupons and then get your $10 rebate so free.

I just started using this kind of toothbrush over the weekend I must say my teeth have never felt more squeeky clean.

Garnier Fructis Instant Melting Mask or Conditioner, 2.99
Use: Garnier Fructis Shampoo, Conditioner or Style Product, any excluding trial size $1/1 (10-31-08) SS-7/20
Less $2.99 SCR

Here is a link for the full Rite Aid List.

Walgreens
Let me begin by saying that I am starting to regard Walgreens as an evil empire. They seem to be giving couponers a very hard time (The North Ogden Store in particular). They have really ambiguous coupon policies and they seem to be making up new rules all the time. So here is my question to you. Have you had a horrific Walgreens experience if you have let me know about it. I'm drafting a scathing letter to corporate and need all the ammunition I can get. Has a manager asked you in his nastiest voice if you were storing up shampoo to drink in a time of emergency? Has a certain dark haired cashier treated you like scum for trying to use an Easy Saver Coupon with a manufacturers coupon? Have you been made to feel like the scum of the Earth because you insisted on getting a Register Reward that you qualified for but didn't print due to some computer glitch. These are the kinds of social injustices I feel I must make known to Mr. Walgreen himself. So that aside here are the deals I see for this week.

Free After Rebate All Month
#1 Walgreens Soft White Light Bulbs 4pk or 3-way Single Bulb
#2 Living Solutions Vacuum Bags (various sizes) These are storage bags not fbags for your vacuum
#3 Living Solutions Vacuum Bags (different sizes)
#4 bioInfusion Organics Shampoo, Conditioner or Olive Oil Hair CareRebate limit of TWO
#5 Walgreens Pitcher Filter Replacement Cartridge
#6 Jane Be Pure Mineral Crushed or Sheer Powder, Mineral Powder Brush or Mineral Powder Liquid Foundation
#7 Pert Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo Plus Conditioner 13.5oz
USE: Pert Plus Shampoo Plus Conditioner, any excluding trial size $1/1 (8-16-08) SS-5/11
Pert Plus Shampoo Plus Conditioner, any excluding trial size $2/1 (8-31-08) SS-6/29
With Pert Coupons you end making money on this deal.

P&G Select Products ~ Spend $10, Get $3 or Spend $20, Get $7
The Best deal on this promo is the Olay Botanical Fusion body wash 8.4 oz or Olay Plus Ribbons body wash 10 oz 3/$10

USE: Olay Bar Pack, Bodywash, Ribbons or In Shower Body Lotion, any $1.50/1 (7-31-08) RP-6/29

Olay Body Wash, Bar Pack or In-Shower Body Lotion, any $1/1 (7-31-08) P&G-7/6

Olay Botanical Fusions, any $2/1 (7-31-08) RP-6/29

Olay Ribbons Product, any $2/1 (7-31-08) P&G-7/6 Final Price: $1.33 - $2.33 each
So say you buy 6 to reach the $20 mark then use 6 $2/1 coupons you spend out of pocket $8 and then get back a $7 register reward. So 6 bottles for $1. Now I am interested to find out if the Walgreens staff will try to give people a hard time about using a coupon in connection with this because it is a legit thing to do but they seem to be trying to convince people that the Register Reward won't print if you use coupons. So you will have to report back on what happens with this one.

To look at the full Walgreens list use this link and scroll down about 4 posts. Walgreens Link.

Ok everyone that is all I know at this time. So go forth and shop and then come back and tell me all about it.

The Thrill of Victory, There was No Agony of Defeat Today!

Ok so I went on a fact finding mission to Wal-Mart today so that I could fill everyone in on all the really hot ways to use your coupons (plus it was nice and cool at Wal-Mart, our swamp cooler just isn't keeping up with this heat) so as I perused the wonderfully air conditioned aisles at Wal-Mart here is what I found.

In the trial size area you can get Head and Shoulders Shampoo for .97 per bottle now if you use this coupon:
Head & Shoulders products, any size $3/2 (7-31-08) P&G-7/6 you actually come out with a $1.06 overage. Most cashiers will give you the overage as long as you buy enough other stuff that they don't have to hand you cash out of the drawer. P.S. a $1.06 overage is a really good one.

Gold Bond Medicated Powder can also be found in darling little bottles in the trial size for .97 per bottle now if you use this coupon:
Gold Bond Medicated Body Powder or Ultimate Comfort Powder $1/1 (10-31-08) SS-6/29 you come out with an incredible .03 overage.
P.S. a $0.03 overage is not a very good one but hey times are tough and we've got to make every 3 cents count.

In the health and beauty area (not the baby section, I repeat not the baby section) you can find packs of Huggies Clean Team wipes for $1.64 is you use this coupon:
Huggies Cleanteam Flushable Moist Wipes, any $3/2 (9-13-08) SS-7/20 you end up paying only .14 per pack of wipes.
(For the mother of a recently potty trained boy, flushable moist wipes are like gold so this one brought me real joy even if I was shelling out .14 a pack).

In the razor section of the health and beauty are you can get 10 packs of Schick disposable razors for $1.97 use these coupons:
Schick Disposable Razor, any $2/1 (8-3-08) RP-6/22
Schick Disposable Razor, any Buy 1 Get 1 FREE, max. value $12.99 (8-24-08) SS-7/13.
Use the $2 one and the buy one get one together and you come out with 20 razors and an overage of .03 (I know we've already discussed the merits of a .o3 overage). Just when you're thinking this deal can not possibly get any sweeter brace yourself because some packages have a free ST Slim Twin inside. I have no idea what a ST Slim Twin is but hey you know me and free.

Johnson and Johnson makes some great kids products called Johnson Buddies. The bar soap they make is great because it is in a bright green sleeve thing which is easier for kids (and moms) to grip and it is so bright you don't end up loosing it in the tub. The soap is really foamy and the kids seem to like it a lot.
The sell for .94 at Wal-Mart, use these links for some great coupons.
Johnson Buddies $2/2 Coupon
After you print from the above link keep hitting your back button on this one and you should be able to print once more.
Any Johnson and Johnson Shampoo or Johnson Buddies $2/2 Coupon
So with the $2/2 coupons you are getting a .06 overage on each bar (not much but it about pays the amount you owe the State of Utah on each bar).

Ok I have saved the most sensitive item with overage for last, I feel it is my moral duty to inform my 10's of readers of each and every good deal to be found. So here it is, the small thing of KY Jelly sells for $2.57 at Wal-Mart use these coupons:
K-Y Product, any excluding Trial Sizes $3/1 (12-31-08) RP-5/11
K-Y, e.p.t, Uristat, Soothing Care or Tucks Product, any $3/1 (9-30-08) RP-3/9 and you come out with an overage of .43 per package. Now comes the serious part, I am looking for suggestions on where I can donate tons and tons of this stuff. I have used like 20 coupons on this becuase people we are making money here. Most things that I buy in excess I just tell my husband I'll give it to Scouting for Food or the Ogden Rescue Mission but somehow I don't know that either would appreciate a large donation of this kind and I really don't want the scouts in my neighborhood starting sordid rumors about the weird coupon lady in the gray house. So seriously people lets put our heads together and come up with a good donation option that will benefit someone in addition to making us .43 per package richer.

Now with all of the overages you have built up you are surely wondering how best to use them so let me offer a little advice.

Electrasol Dishwasher soap is $2.64 at Wal-Mart if you use this coupon:
Electrasol Powerball Tabs or Gelpacs, any except 12 ct. boxes $2.25/1 (8-10-08) SS-7/13 you can get a 20 ct box for .39 cents. For the math challenged among us that comes out to .0195 cents per load you can't beat that unless you're getting it for .0194 cents per load but hey can you really see that happening.

Here's one that will please the men in your lives since men love all things pertaining to batteries (I think it has something to do with their attachment to remotes). In the battery center up by the check stands you can find batteries that say Heavy Duty on them in big print and then in a smaller print it says by Rayovac. The package is red and blue with yellow (or Rello as my 3 year old would say) writing. All of the packages are .94, AA, AAA has four to a package and 9 volt, C and D have 2 per package. Now use these coupons:
Rayovac Alkaline or Hearing Aid Batteries, any $1/2 (8-18-08) SS2-5/18 Rayovac Alkaline or Hearing Aid Batteries, any $1/2 (9-30-08) SS-6/22
This deal comes out to 11 cents per battery on the AA and AAA and 22 cents per battery on the 9 volt, C and D. That is a really killer deal considering AA batteries run around .50 on a good day.

As you can see it was quite a trip to Wal-Mart today. My before coupon total was $112.67 and my after coupon total was (drum roll please) .87. That is 87 pennies. In addition to the stuff listed above I bought a bag of red potatoes (tried a new recipe with them tonight called Australian Crash Potatoes absolute winner, let me know if you need the recipe) and a pair of school scissors to finish using up my overage.

I did have to spend $7.24 on tax but I never include that part when I tell my husband about my deals. You know you have had a truly great shopping trip when the amount you pay in tax exceeds the amount you pay for the goods themselves. (Could someone please tell Gov. Huntsman that tax should be levied on after coupon prices, I think I'll send him a quick e-mail on this pressing matter I'm sure he is up worrying about it as I type. I think Mary Kay looks likes the coupon type don't you, the fuel alone for their private jet has got to be killing them, yeah right.) But seriously I am happy to do my part in balancing the state budget so I feel good about that $7.24.

As we drove out of Wal-Mart's parking lot today my 7 year old son asked me how much "all that stuff" was before coupons and then after coupons. After I told him he told his 3 year old brother to be quiet because he wanted to talk to me more about coupons. "Parker, coupons are way cooler than anything you have to say so be quiet and let mom tell us more," said Anderson. Ah no matter what else I accomplish this week I can rest assured that I am instilling a love of coupons in the rising generation (with boys no less, this should be a very marketable skill when they are looking to get married, right).

So go forth and shop and then come back and tell me all about it.
